The Spar convenience store at Helidon is the closest grocery store to the village. The Spar is a 5 minute drive away and is very convenient for topping up the essentials.

German Bake Wurst House
The German Bake Wurst House is a distinctly European cafe located a few minutes drive away from the village. It is popular with the touring clubs and groups travelling through the area.

The Floating Cafe - Grantham
About a 10 minute drive away is this very quaint little shop called The Floating Cafe. It's worth going just to soak up some of the country cafe ambience. The food, coffee and other beverages are fresh and good quality.
It's a joy to sit out front and watch the world go by.

Heritage Walk - Helidon
The town of Helidon is very close by. Helidon is well known in the construction industries for its high quality sandstone quarries.
All of the historical places of interest in the town can be visited during a short, leisurely walk.
Most of the sandstone you see in the area for landscaping and construction will have come from Helidon - including here in the village.

Gatton and District Historical Society
If it's a Monday, and you're up for a short drive to Gatton (about 15mins), the Gatton and District Historical Society is on Freemans Road. The village is populated by several heritage buildings that were transported to the site.
At the moment, the village is only open on Mondays. Many collections and displays can be seen and there are always a few friendly volunteers on site that are happy to help.

Murphys Creek Tavern
Heading north of Helidon for about 15 minutes will land you in Murphy's Creek where you'll find the local tavern. Popular with the retro vehicle and motorcycle touring clubs, Murphy's Creek Tavern is a gem in the foothills of the ranges.

Criterion Hotel Helidon
The Criterion Hotel, nearby in Helidon, is a heritage listed building, which is of interest in its self. This is a modest establishment, the menu is basic and decently cooked and the beer is as good as anywhere. Good old-fashioned country pub service.
